For the world, India is a go-to-destination for Ayurveda and Yoga but unfortunately India is fast losing the importance of the age–old wisdom that came from these practices.
Well, those of you who know me personally know how integral dance has been in my life.
Interestingly enough there are strong cultural implications of an Indian society that amplifies the rigid character defense.
The term acupuncture is derived from the Latin word ‘acus’ means a needle and the word ‘puncture’ means to puncture (Ehling, 2001).
Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) has been around for thousands of years. Although the first recorded history of TCM dates back over 2,000 years, it is believed that the origins of TCM go back more than 5,000 years (Micozzi, 2011).
The body has three ways of producing ATP: from creatine phosphate, anaerobic cellular respiration and aerobic cellular respiration. (Jenkins et all, 2007) At rest, the muscle fiber produce more ATP than is required by the body.
The human body has always fascinated me and as I have sat in the Anatomy and Physiology class the last few months, I have had several ‘aha’ moments.
