WHAT’S YOUR DOSHA?
Next time you are in a room full of people, look around and observe the various personalities you see. What do you see? You will find some people are extremely talkative and attract others with their energy and enthusiasm, some are more observant and will need encouragement to put their views forward and some who are excellent speakers and will speak to the point – no beating around the bush with these kinds! Not only do the people around you behave differently given the same situation but their physical constitution is different. Have you ever wondered why that may be?
According to Ayurveda, a person is made of three different Dosha Types – Vata, Pitta and Kapha. These three doshas are the three main energies that govern all the functions in the body. To find out about your dosha type, please go to https://healthbyayurveda.wordpress.com/creating-health/dosha-mind-body-analysis/ and answer each of the questions listed as accurately as possible. Once you have done so, please total your score. The dosha that gets the maximum score is your predominant dosha. You may also find that you have an equally high score for two doshas and a lower score for one. In that case, you are a two-dosha type person. It is also possible that your score for all the doshas is almost identical. In that case you are a three-dosha type person. The last combination is a rather rare one.
Once you have identified what dosha type you are, you now know that you need to keep your doshas in balance. According to Ayurveda, diseases and health issues (both physical and mental/emotional) manifest when your doshas are in imbalance. Hence educating yourself about your dosha type is the first and most important step you will take in understanding yourself and creating a perfect mind-body balance.
